For deputation (1992-93),
the three littlest Raub kids (then Kathy, Jonathan, &
Stephen) wore military uniforms! |
"As
for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua
24:15) Since
1986 the Raub family has had a burden for reaching the U.S.
military. In 1992, they went on deputation so they could
accomplish that goal. Their ministry, Eagles'
Wings Military Ministry, was founded in 1993. Since
then, they have had outreaches to each branch of the military-- Navy,
Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps--and have started two military
churches. Their most recent church planting effort was in
Oceanside, CA-- working with MCB Camp Pendleton. Since
they left California in 2003, they have been working to implement
Operation
NAAMAN through several churches nationwide.
Traveling
in a 40' converted bus, they have visited churches and military bases
all over the country, presenting their burden for the men and women of
the Armed Forces. Besides
reaching the military, the Raubs also minister in song to churches they
visit nationwide. At present, the Raub family consists of Kevin &
Lisa (AKA Mom & Dad), Jonathan
(19), Stephen (17), Sharon (12), Lydia (8), Johanna (6), and Jason (3).
