What We Believe   The Raub Family

Eagles’ Wings Military Ministry (EWMM) is a not-for-earthly-profit organization founded by the Kevin Raub family in 1994.   EWMM is a ministry dedicated to helping U.S. servicemen and women around the world find a “home-away-from home” off base where they can relax, eat home-cooking, and, above all, learn of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ .

How it all began:

One of the outreaches we held at Camp Pendleton was a Military Family Conference on base!

In 1987 God had begun to burden Bro. Raub’s heart for the U.S. military, and in 1992 he and his family of (then) 3 children went into the full-time military ministry.  In 1994 they started their first military church/outreach, outside of Fort Hood, TX.  After turning it over in 1998, they went next to Gulfport, MS, to assist an existing church in starting a servicemen’s center.  It was then that their ministry first took the name Eagles’ Wings Military Ministry.

From the middle of 2000 to March 2004, the Raubs and EWMM worked outside of Camp Pendleton, CA.   Besides starting a church, they reached successfully onto the base, at the high point holding a total of four weekly Bible studies ( Military Bible Fellowships) on the base.  Utilizing a servant relationship with the base chaplains, (“How can we serve you by spreading the Gospel to the Marines?”), they were given incredible open doors on the base.  Now, using the open doors, experience, and credentials gained there, they are seeking to accomplish the goal of EWMM:

To have a local church outside of and reaching onto every military base in the world !

Our Vision:

It is a special privilege to be called of God to reach those who “stand in the gap” for our country’s defense. Our compelling vision is two-fold:

(1) The POTENTIAL— if only we could get these, the last of America’s youth that still know the meaning of courage, commitment, and discipline, saved, praying, and serving the Lord in our churches, what could be accomplished? These are the “cream of the crop”!

(2) The PERIL— where does that soldier go if he is killed? When a soldier, sailor, or airman gives his life for his country, we may cry tears of grief, love, & patriotic pride. However, despite his great sacrifice, without Christ, he or she went to HELL. Our burden is that through the GOSPEL he or she would enter into heaven’s rest, and NOT begin an eternity of torment. God save the military!

(3) The POSSIBILITIES—Once they are reached, these troops then are deployed by Uncle Sam around the world as MISSIONARIES, taking the Gospel to many countries, even ones that are CLOSED to the Gospel.

 How do we reach them?

The answer,

(1)        The Message—  Sending the gospel

(2)         The Method—  through on-base Bible study and preaching, street evangelism, servicemen’s center ministry, door-to-door, or mail-outs

(3)        The Means—  by the Local Church

(4)        The Manner—  with the prayerful support of other Bible-believing churches.
